A word of advice for future Christmases. If you’re planning on getting your friend an egg, first figure out how many of their other friends are giving them eggs too. Otherwise, they might have five eggs hatch on the same day.

[At this point, Dirk turns the SFC around to show a collection of baby pokemon at his feet, including a Ralts, Charmander, Houndour, Feebas, and Ponyta. As soon as Dirk’s attention is directed to them, they all start clamoring for attention.]

I'm not being literal here. I'm saying time tends to fly by pretty fast. Get waist deep in normal too long and you have no idea where all that shit goes.

It's a good point. I suppose people can adjust to anything as normal. Even if it involves Pokemon.

When you think about it, don’t really have a choice. This world revolves around them, whether we liked it or not, no one can survive here without embracing the culture.

Technically, it is. Being kidnapped from our own worlds without explanation or way to get home is pretty damn insidious.

Which makes you wonder what mechanic is behind it. I doubt it's the pokemon.

Maybe they're used in it, but on whole they don't seem to have the ability to arrange a wide scale kidnapping like this.

Exactly. Only thing I can think of might be a specific faction or group that looks for exploits. [Smart enough not to say who.]
