[When Dirk turns on his Pokegear, he’s leaning against a wall somewhere, bundled up in his ridiculous Christmas sweater. Maybe it’s hard to tell thanks to his habit of wearing sunglasses all the time, but to those who know him, he might seem kind of tired.]

A word of advice for future Christmases. If you’re planning on getting your friend an egg, first figure out how many of their other friends are giving them eggs too. Otherwise, they might have five eggs hatch on the same day.

[At this point, Dirk turns the SFC around to show a collection of baby pokemon at his feet, including a Ralts, Charmander, Houndour, Feebas, and Ponyta. As soon as Dirk’s attention is directed to them, they all start clamoring for attention.]

Yep. Turns out if you give 'em a smuppet, they're happy. At least for now. You might wanna consider it until you can figure out how you're gonna take care of a group of babies. At least you get to experience the joys of parenthood, though.

That'd require having a smuppet on hand. Sadly, I'm currently lacking in puppets.

Oh come on, that's a totally legit thing to be content with. I mean, if it were anywhere else, I get it. But Pokemon? Come on, it's like we're in an anime. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

We just had some pokemon claiming to cause the apocalypse. Even though they didn't, that's not exactly fun and games the whole way through.

Except Sburb did cause the apocalypse on Earth. So in comparison, this place is really fucking tame.

That's not going to stop me from wanting to know about it.

Well I guess so. I mean don't get me wrong, I wanna know more about it too. But it's either prioritize that, or don't get any training done. And considering that I wanna be the best, like no one ever was...

I could multitask if I wanted to, but then my Pokemon wouldn't get nearly as strong as if I'd dedicated my time solely to them. I'm sorry if it disappoints you that I'd like to be able to kick some ass while I'm here.

It disappoints me that you aren't capable of both kicking ass and learning about the place at the same time. Surely you can do better, especially if you're an older version of me.
