Second Rap [Video/Action in Ecruteak]

[When Dirk turns on his Pokegear, he’s leaning against a wall somewhere, bundled up in his ridiculous Christmas sweater. Maybe it’s hard to tell thanks to his habit of wearing sunglasses all the time, but to those who know him, he might seem kind of tired.]

A word of advice for future Christmases. If you’re planning on getting your friend an egg, first figure out how many of their other friends are giving them eggs too. Otherwise, they might have five eggs hatch on the same day.

[At this point, Dirk turns the SFC around to show a collection of baby pokemon at his feet, including a Ralts, Charmander, Houndour, Feebas, and Ponyta. As soon as Dirk’s attention is directed to them, they all start clamoring for attention.]

Anyone else have the same problem?

[Dirk's waves, to the point of almost falling off his shoulder. Dirk catches it at the last moment.]

I suppose so. [SIIIGHS, but that other Ralts almost falling makes her reach as if she could, but being caught has Jane relaxing. Her Ralts? Chitters and returns the waves then, smiling.]

I don't think I will be needing to be gifted so many eggs next time though, what with how many I now have.

[If Dirk was about to say anything more, it's promptly interrupted when his Ralts erupts in a burst of chatter. Most of it is a boistrous 'hi who are you how are you???']

I already have nineteen Pokemon, I would think they're quite a balanced team by now! [The chatter makes her smile lightly again, Rachel returning the chitchats with how she's fine and asking how he's doing, the simple conversations.]

[And Kamina replies boisterously the whole time, constantly almost falling off Dirk's shoulder.]

True, but once they all get up there in their levels, I would think they're good? [She's looking over her larger group now.] Let's see.. I'm a little amused that I'm realizing I have quite a handful of grass types by now. One fire type, one electric type, a few normal types.. a couple ghosts, a water type, two psychic types.. and Acorn is the only bug I was interested in catching.

[Turning the feed, she's bringing it down to show the little Surskit amidst the group.]

Depends on their level when compared to their opponent. You probably won't have a challenge with most wild pokemon, in that case.

[But then, he's cracking a grin.]

Acorn, huh? I'm touched you remembered.

It's improbable, but possible. At least now, Pony Pals will have a legacy in the most ironic fashion possible.

I have a Ponyta, but I'm afraid Pony Pals names will have to wait. It's a tragedy, but this guy already has a name.

Naah, Pikachu's like, the vanillaest of vanilla flavor pokemon. I'll find something else. There are electrics along the route near Ecruteak I can catch, I might go for one of those.
