Vatheon CR Chart
![]() | Roxy Lalonde Roxy and Dirk have always been in Vatheon together- they arrived at the same time, and when they returned to their world for a few months (or days, in Vatheon's time) they also returned on the same exact day. Being the only two from their universe for their first few months in the bubble, on top of being the only people alive in their universe, means there's a strong bond between them. The first thing they did when they saw each other in Vatheon was to hug, after all.
![]() | Jake English Dirk was excited when Jake appeared in Vatheon for the first time- and why shouldn't he have been? His
![]() | Dave Strider Dirk's brother from an alternate universe. Their first meeting wasn't what either of them were prepared for, considering Dave wandered into Dirk and Roxy's house, thinking he still lived there. Dirk looks up to Dave about as much as Dave looks up to Dirk, which means they're both really, really awkward around one another.
![]() | DaveSprite A version of Dave who prototyped himself to a sprite. Davesprite's arrival was less troubling to Dirk, since he'd already met Dave, and he got to talk with Davesprite for the first time over the network.
Rose Lalonde An alternate version of Roxy's mother. She doesn't hold the same amount of intimidation for him that Dave does, although she's earned his respect and admiration. The two of them have shared information plenty, and Rose was pleased with Dirk's smuppets, a surefire way of getting in his good books. He gave her one as a christmas gift.
![]() | Jade Harley Dog-eared science girl! Also Jake's grandmother. Dirk's enjoyed talking to her, and her love of science and robots makes her a great person to talk to, in his opinion. It helps that her ears make her incredible levels of anime.
username | John Egbert Jane's Poppop from another universe. Dirk can't say he knows him too well, except that one time when he came over, he seemed pretty interested in Roxy (Roxy wasn't wearing pants at the time). The guy has it out for Betty Crocker, though, which makes him good in Dirk's book.
![]() | Equius Zahhak Likes robots? check. Likes horses? Check. Likes puppets? No, but Dirk bets he can change that.
![]() | Karkat Vantas Karkat and Dirk first spoke when Dirk arrived, and they had a very long and involved conversation about Dirk's world and the events in it- events they disagreed on, but that somehow didn't dissolve into a lot of shouting and NO U. Karkat declared Dirk the less annoying Strider and everything.
Eridan Ampora Like with Karkat, Eridan's first impression of Dirk put him on a list of "humans that aren't pieces of shit." A truly lofty position.
Sollux Captor Dirk and Sollux have been becoming friends through snark and innuendos. It's a friendship written in the stars, clearly. Cheering Sollux up after the disappearance of his matesprits led to testing one of Dirk's robots and a round of friendly strifing, and though they had something of a disagreement over Sollux's use of mind-control during a curse, they've continued to get along pretty well.
Expatriate Darkleer Equius's ancestor. Dirk and Darkleer got along pretty well, until during the nightmare curse, when Dirk invaded Darkleer's space and started pushing him for details. It resulted in a fierce grudge on Darkleer's part, one Dirk hasn't paid much attention to, except for occasionally needling Darkleer more.
Feferi Peixes Some fish girl who just happens to be the descendant of the Condesce. She's not the same, but they don't really get along. It doesn't help that Feferi's made it her mission to steal his sunglasses. She's failed every try so far.
The Summoner Not a bad guy, and a troll who hates the Condesce, which Dirk can definitely relate to.
Nepeta Leijon Equius's moirail. The two of them talked, and Dirk was left with the opinion that she's a pretty cool troll.
Death The Kid Kid and Dirk got on each other's nerves from the start, when Dirk ignored Kid's attempts at cleaning and directly disobeyed his instructions. Since then, Dirk's learned a bit more about Kid's love of order, and he's taken the time to try and challenge that. Anyone who has a freakout over 12/21 to that extent needs to learn to take it down a notch, in Dirk's opinion.
Rainbow Dash OH GOD OH GOD IT'S ACTUALLY RAINBOW DASH SQUEEE
Tech Tech is Dirk's coworker in the Defense Force's (ironically named) Tech crew, and someone else that Dirk talks science with. Their conversations are generally focused around a goal and a process of getting there, usually involving machines or observation of data, but hey, there's nothing wrong with getting down to business. It's not like Tech has a stick up his ass.
Hayner One of the first guys Dirk's age he met in the bubble. He hasn't spent much time with Hayner, but he's looking forward to hanging out with the guy.
Asuka Langley Sohryu During the New Year's celebration, Asuka took offense to Dirk's face (literally). Ever since then, he's been attempting to prove himself both intelligent and as irritating as possible. So far, he seems to be succeeding.
Ky Kiske After Tech and Dirk broadcast an experiment of theirs involving an explosion, Ky debated with them over the danger of technology. To prove they weren't about to go psycho and kill everyone in the bubble, Dirk invited Ky to come by the Defense Force and watch them work.
| Jane CrOcker While Jane was in Vatheon, she and Dirk got the chance to interact as friends, without the secret of Dirk's life or the problems of the Game or the Condesce hanging over their head. They enjoyed themselves a lot, even during an incident of ice skating that resulted in Dirk getting a bloody nose. | |
